Why estimates can differ from actual usage

Estimates are an upper limit; skipped and failed items are not charged.

Before a run, the confirmation page shows an estimated number of items and credits.

Treat the estimate as an upper limit. Actual usage is often lower because:

  • already-optimised items may be skipped (in new/unprocessed mode)
  • failed items are not charged
  • the final processed set can be smaller than the maximum estimate

After the run, the Dashboard summary shows credits actually used.
